Tue, 07 Feb 2012 17:15:57 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.3.1 Chicago Craft Social Recap http://www.schlosserdesigns.com/2009/08/chicago-craft-social-recap/ http://www.schlosserdesigns.com/2009/08/chicago-craft-social-recap/#comments Thu, 20 Aug 2009 16:04:17 +0000 Erin http://www.schlosserdesigns.com/?p=934 This past weekend was super busy!  On Friday night I led a project at the Chicago Craft Social.  This event was the 2nd of its kind and is put together by the lovely ladies Jess from How About Orange, Megan Heep from My Plum Pudding, Amanda from Ammeliorer, and Megan Hall.  I had a fabulous time teaching and there were so many awesome projects put together by some super crafty people.  If I hadn’t been leading a project I would have had a very hard time choosing which project to participate in.

I had 6 lovely ladies at my table that were a joy to teach and were so fun chatting with.  They taught me all about Chicago in the winter!  I taught Amy, Chris, Jess, Cindy, Charis, and Chelsea (who just moved here from South Africa and left right before the picture.)

I made double and triple sure that I had all the supplies needed for the event…then ended up leaving my camera at home so thank you Amy and Chris for letting me use some of your pictures!

Learning the Lazy Daisy

After a quick demonstration Chelsea learned how to do the lazy daisy stitch.  She’d never hand stitched anything and by the time we were through, had mastered the lazy daisy!

Amy’s Project.  She stamped on the napkin using the Boughs Stamp Set then embellished with some back stitching and french knots!  Beautiful!

All in all I had tons of fun and am so glad I was able to participate!!
