Tutorial Tuesday: Welcome Spring Wall Decor
Tue, Apr 6, 2010
I have a bunch of frames I picked up a while back from the Dollar Store. I’ve been trying to decide what to do with them but I knew I couldn’t pass up a bunch of cheap frames! This weekend I made a fun, easy, Welcome Spring sign to hang up. It’s just now showing signs of spring here in Chicago and I couldn’t be more ready!
Supplies:
Frame with back removed
Stamps (I used my Boughs set)
Various StazOn Ink (These work best on glass and other shiny surfaces!)
Coordinating Ribbon for hanging your sign
Rhinestone sticker embellishments
Stamp the various images on the back of your glass. Add embellishments on the front. It took no time at all to stamp the little flower garden along the bottom. I used the same green for all the stems, and various shades of pink and purple for the flowers.
I used my Cricut to cut out the Welcome Spring. If you don’t have a Cricut try using rub-ons or alphabet stickers to get the same effect. I love how when you hang it up you get a nice shadow that provides depth to you sign.
Happy Crafting!
